Role Overview

As a Learning and Development (L&D) Executive at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, you will play a supportive role in daily L&D operations, collaborating with team members to enhance skills and knowledge within the hospitality sector. This role is ideal for those eager to acquire practical experience and pursue growth opportunities in this industry by networking with experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the L&D Manager in organizing and executing training plans across both operational and support departments of the hotel.
  • Schedule and arrange various training sessions, workshops, orientations, and staff development events.
  • Conduct training programs featuring brand standards, customer service excellence, behavioral skills, and technical competencies.
  • Support employee growth by aiding in the creation of learning plans, career progression strategies, succession planning, and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the hotel's training schedule to ensure timely delivery of all compulsory and growth-focused programs.
  • Track and report training attendance, course completions, and compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Keep precise and current training documentation including competency matrices, learning management system data, and talent development records.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify knowledge gaps, training needs, and developmental opportunities for employees.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback collection, testing results, performance metrics, and data analysis.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required trainings including statutory, compliance, brand, and company-mandated sessions.
  • Create and update educational materials such as presentations, facilitator guides, and other learning resources.
  • Handle logistical arrangements for training events including venue booking, resource allocation, registrations, scheduling, and equipment setup.
  • Manage training related paperwork, financial processing such as invoicing and payments, and administrative tasks in line with company protocols.
  • Monitor employee advancement on development programs, competency frameworks, and succession initiatives.
  • Contribute to initiatives fostering team member engagement, recognition, workplace culture, and overall employee experience.
  • Generate comprehensive reports regarding training participation, compliance status, competency improvements, and outcomes of talent development efforts.
  • Work alongside leaders from various departments to uncover development opportunities and suggest appropriate learning solutions.
  • Participate actively in the continuous enhancement of L&D processes and training offerings to boost organizational performance.
  • Assure all training activities comply with Hilton’s corporate objectives, brand principles, competency standards, and dedication to delivering excellent guest service.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Well-organized individual with strong skills in communication, coordination, and presenting.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Capable of juggling various priorities within a fast-moving hotel work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Learning Management Systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Educational background includes a degree or diploma in Hospitality, Human Resources, Business, Tourism, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in Learning and Development, preferably in an upscale hotel setting.
  • Experienced in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Holding a Train-the-Trainer certification is a plus.
  • Current Hilton employees with relevant L&D experience will be prioritized.
