Job description

Position Overview

Richard Hadlee Retirement Village in Belfast, Christchurch, is seeking a dedicated Lead Maintenance professional to join their team. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, offering a dynamic and fulfilling work environment within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee a diverse team to deliver efficient maintenance services, ensuring that village facilities and grounds are well-maintained and safe for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Implement scheduled preventative maintenance and refurbishment projects collaboratively with the Property team and Facilities Manager.
  • Serve as a champion for health and safety, ensuring strict adherence to all policies and safe practices amongst staff and contractors.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with team members and colleagues to foster a productive workplace.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a lead maintenance role is essential; formal trade qualifications are beneficial though not mandatory.
  • Proven capability to manage and motivate both a team and a range of contractors and suppliers effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, including experience in preparing maintenance and health and safety reports.
  • A dependable, friendly, and professional demeanor.
