Role Summary
The Analytics Manager at Moniepoint functions as a pivotal figure at the crossroads of product management, data engineering, and business growth. This role entails owning key performance metrics, defining measurement standards, running experiments, and steering the analytics roadmap for the business unit. The manager plays a vital role in leveraging data to optimize customer acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction by building a high-caliber analytics team and formulating an all-encompassing data and analytics strategy and roadmap.
- Recruit, nurture, and maintain a skilled team of analytics professionals.
- Generate actionable insights through forecasting, business analysis, model creation, and implementation to support core functions like product development, operations, marketing, and engineering.
- Collaborate closely with growth, product, and engineering leaders to ensure data collection aligns with business insights and uphold rigorous data-driven product development standards.
- Lead growth initiatives by managing forecasts and budgets, driving product growth strategies from acquisition to monetization and retention.
- Own and enhance key business metrics throughout the customer funnel including acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue expansion.
- Conduct comprehensive product funnel analysis and implement improvements to enhance user conversion.
- Design and manage A/B testing processes for increasing sales and adoption rates across customer journey stages.
- Lead conversion funnel optimization using both online and offline channels, prioritizing tests with maximum business impact.
- Utilize detailed analytics across the funnel to understand user behavior and improve sales and conversion effectiveness.
- Define, track, and analyze growth-related metrics such as customer acquisition cost, activation rate, retention rate, payback periods, and revenue per customer.
- Perform cohort analyses and customer journey mapping to identify and remove bottlenecks.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years in analytics roles, including at least 2 years in leadership positions managing teams and strategic projects.
- Proven experience within consumer-focused industries like FMCG, preferably in CPG or fintech sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to scale product businesses and manage significant revenue objectives effectively.
Technical Proficiencies
- Expertise in advanced analytics, growth experimentation, A/B testing, and funnel optimization techniques.
- Strong command of SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Experience with product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
- Deep knowledge of data analytics methodologies, user behavior analysis, and customer segmentation.
Leadership and Communication Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities for engaging with stakeholders, presenting data findings, and creating visual reports.
- Proven skills in building, mentoring, and scaling high-performance teams.
- Expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams including marketers, analysts, and designers.
