Laundry Assistant / Accommodation Assistant / Linen Porter

About the Role

Talbot Hotel Cork is seeking experienced Laundry Attendants, Accommodation Assistants, and Linen Porters for busy laundry and hotel operations located in Ballincollig, County Cork, Ireland. This is a full-time position with responsibilities spanning laundry management and guest accommodation services.

Responsibilities

• Manage laundry operations by sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding linens and textiles to supply the hotel and other neighboring hotels.
• Occasionally undertake cleaning duties for guest bedrooms, corridors, public areas, leisure club, and staff quarters as directed by the Accommodation Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in guest rooms, bathrooms, storage areas, and corridors.
• Interact with guests ensuring their needs and requests are met promptly.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in spoken and written English with capability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
• Previous experience preferred; hotel laundry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work weekends and shift patterns as required.
• Availability to work between 32 and 39 hours weekly including potential weekend shifts.
• Possession of a driver's license is advantageous.
