Role Overview
This position is for a Junior Power BI Developer working remotely from Canada on a contractual basis. The role entails comprehensive management and execution of Power BI-related tasks including migration, enhancement, and the design of dashboards and reports to meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of Power BI projects from migration and optimization to dashboard and report creation.
- Engage with client representatives to understand their needs, establish key performance indicators, and develop technical solutions accordingly.
- Design scalable Power BI solutions incorporating semantic models, DAX calculations, and dataflows.
- Lead efforts in governance, optimize licensing, and enhance the performance of Power BI resources.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to offshore team members, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and objectives.
- Utilize AI tools such as CodeExpress to analyze usage patterns and streamline reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of three years' experience in business intelligence and analytics.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and familiarity with Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, setting up ETL processes, and managing the report life cycle.
- Experience integrating AI and machine learning features in BI projects is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
