Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

INPUT is a prominent New York interior design firm focusing on luxury multifamily and condominium developments citywide. Each project is uniquely approached with three fundamental questions concerning the building's nature, its inhabitants, and the functional needs of the space, resulting in diverse and original design outcomes. The firm's portfolio ranges from intimate boutique condominiums to large-scale rental projects, actively handling projects throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn across design and construction phases. The firm has recently been recognized as a 2026 NYCxDesign Awards Finalist, with its principals awarded NYSID Rising Star honors.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, research, and coordination with vendors for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
• Collaborate with senior designers on selecting furniture, lighting, fabrics, and accessories that align with project design intent.
• Prepare client-facing presentations, and manage material and finish schedules and comprehensive design documentation.
• Oversee production details, ensuring finishes and customizations meet design specifications and identifying deviations early.
• Verify that final products comply with specified requirements, resolving discrepancies when necessary.
• Manage your deadlines independently and maintain consistent communication with senior staff as you develop professionally.

Requirements

• Possess a professional degree in interior design.
• One to two years of professional experience, inclusive of relevant internships.
• Deep interest in the practical construction of spaces beyond aesthetics.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage various facets of your role within projects.
• Strong, clear, and prompt communication with team members.
• Proficiency in key software: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Excel, Adobe suite, and G-suite tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Work Environment

This position is based primarily in the Manhattan office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
