IT Vendor Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced IT Vendor Manager to become part of a prominent and long-established insurance company based in Hannover, Germany. This role is within the expanding IT Governance team and involves managing the company's IT supplier landscape to ensure all third-party providers comply with contractual, legal, and internal governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison for all vendor-related activities across the organization.
• Collaborate with Technology, Procurement, Legal, and Information Security departments to enhance supplier governance and reduce risks associated with third-party vendors.
• Manage strategic partnerships with IT service providers, overseeing their selection, contract performance, and service delivery efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including DORA and outsourcing requirements.
• Identify risks related to third-party vendors and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support contract negotiations and provide expert advice to stakeholders on vendor matters.
• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of vendor management policies, processes, and controls across the organization.

Essential Requirements

• Confirmed background in IT Vendor Management, Third Party Risk Management, IT Procurement, or Supplier Governance.
• Strong knowledge of IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, ITIL, DORA, and VAG is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational capabilities.
