About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee user lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, role transitions, and access control across identity providers, devices, GitHub, and SaaS platforms.
• Manage endpoint security for remote employees, ensuring proper device patching, compliance, and configuration.
• Administer identity and access management systems, including single sign-on (SSO) and enforcing least-privilege access principles.
• Maintain GitHub organizational administration, managing permissions, repositories, integrations, and automations in partnership with engineering teams.
• Create and implement automation for IT workflows, provisioning, audit processes, and access reviews using scripting and programming languages.
• Support and improve internal IT tools to enhance reliability, scalability, and employee experience.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to uphold compliance standards, assist with audits, and drive security initiatives.
• Develop and enforce policies related to device management, access controls, and security while preserving usability.
• Assess, deploy, and manage SaaS applications and other technology solutions catering to business requirements.
• Lead IT projects such as system migrations, tooling enhancements, and technology rollouts.
• Document technical procedures, workflows, and operational standards to facilitate knowledge sharing and simplify processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems engineering, IT operations, or equivalent technical roles in modern technology environments.
• Proficiency in automating IT processes using languages such as Python or Go.
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience managing GitHub organizations, including permissions and automation.
• Experience with one or more major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of identity and access management technologies including SSO and identity providers such as Okta.
• Expertise in managing macOS endpoints within remote-first work settings.
• Solid grasp of IT security best practices, including device hardening, access control, and audit preparation.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose complex technical issues and drive solutions independently.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for system and process improvements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration in distributed teams.
