Role Overview
Charity So White is seeking a junior-level IT Support Officer to keep day-to-day technology operations running reliably. This role is suited to someone who enjoys diagnosing technical problems, supporting end users, and making sure workplace systems and devices function smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for basic hardware, software, and IT support issues.
- Set up, install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and business software.
- Handle incoming support requests and work toward quick, effective issue resolution.
- Help manage user accounts, access permissions, and password-related requests.
- Carry out regular maintenance tasks, system updates, and equipment preparation.
- Record technical problems, fixes, and support steps for future reference.
- Work with internal teams to enhance IT services and improve the user experience.
Required Profile
- Foundational understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking basics.
- Exposure to Windows, Microsoft 365, or comparable workplace technology platforms.
- Strong problem-solving ability with an analytical mindset.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to juggle multiple requests and set priorities effectively.
- Careful, detail-focused, and proactive when approaching issues.
