IT Procurement Professional

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned IT Procurement Specialist with 10 to 12 years of demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and procurement of IT-related products and services. This role demands proficiency in dealing with IT hardware, software, cloud-based services, SaaS platforms, cybersecurity solutions, telecommunications, and professional IT services. The selected candidate will fully own the procurement cycle, vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, and collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance with regulations, and adherence to procurement standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), SaaS offerings, cybersecurity tools, telecommunications, data center components, and technology services.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies tailored to business needs and technology plans.
• Manage the complete sourcing process: requirement consolidation, market analysis, preparation of RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluation, commercial review, negotiation, and contract awarding.
• Organize and conduct competitive bidding and vendor selection to secure superior commercial and technical outcomes.
• Negotiate terms including pricing, payments, service level agreements, licensing frameworks, support contracts, renewals, and long-term accords.
• Coordinate contract finalization with Legal, Finance, Information Security, and relevant business units to ensure smooth execution.
• Oversee contract renewals, amendments, vendor commitments, and mitigate commercial risks throughout contract duration.
• Deliver quantifiable cost savings and optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) for IT procurement.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs, distributors, integrators, cloud providers, and tech partners.
• Conduct vendor performance assessments, governance, and business reviews aimed at enhancing service levels.
• Collaborate with IT, Information Security, Finance, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders to understand and fulfill procurement needs efficiently.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for procurement strategies and commercial decision-making processes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in strategic sourcing and category management within IT.
• Hands-on experience procuring IT hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and telecommunications procurement.
• Strong competence in commercial negotiation and contract lifecycle management.
• Skilled in managing vendor relations and evaluating supplier performance.
• Familiarity with procurement governance, compliance standards, and cost optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in procurement analytics, spend management, risk evaluation, and business continuity planning.
• Experience collaborating across multiple functional teams and stakeholder groups.
• Working knowledge of ERP and eProcurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, and Ivalua.
• Outstanding negotiation, analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Exposure to European procurement procedures and regulatory standards is advantageous.
