Investment Associate

Role Overview

Engage as an investment expert responsible for leading private company valuation efforts, conducting portfolio analyses, and delivering well-prepared decision-focused presentation materials for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead valuation projects for private companies using appropriate financial and market-based valuation techniques.
• Develop, examine, and enhance detailed financial models in Excel.
• Analyze company performance metrics, financial forecasts, capital structures, peer companies, and related transaction data to inform valuation.
• Evaluate core assumptions, sensitivity analyses, valuation ranges, and associated investment risks.
• Review documentation related to investment policies, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities.
• Translate analytical insights into clear and concise presentations tailored for senior-level audiences.

Core Requirements

• Proven relevant background in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Family Office, or investment management roles.
• Experience with private company valuation, financial modeling, investment analysis, and transaction support.
• Advanced skills in Excel, capable of creating detailed, auditable financial models.
• Experience preparing materials for investment committees, board presentations, or similar high-level deliverables.
• Strong grasp of valuation methods such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis.

Compensation and Work Conditions

Compensation is set at $150 per hour, with an expected workload of 10 to 40 hours per week on a fully remote basis.
