Role Overview
As an Inventory Clerk, you will be integral to managing inventory and supporting procurement processes under the guidance of the financial controller. Your role involves detailed inventory tracking, ensuring stock accuracy, timely delivery, database integrity, and improving overall inventory management procedures as the company scales its operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect received items to verify quality and quantity, reporting discrepancies to relevant departments or procurement officers.
- Ensure new inventory items are properly received, organized, and stored securely.
- Manage stock requests internally to guarantee prompt fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate stock levels via regular demand forecasting and usage tracking.
- Work with procurement to keep inventory above critical alert thresholds through timely replenishment.
- Conduct scheduled inventory audits, investigating and reporting any inconsistencies.
- Enhance inventory processes to streamline stock management workflows.
- Monitor order statuses and coordinate delivery timelines with suppliers and internal teams.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support throughout the procurement cycle, ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of the inventory database alongside the Finance team.
- Take on additional procurement-related tasks as necessary.
Position Details and Benefits
- This role is permanent and based in Ouagadougou with occasional travel to field locations.
- Work authorization in Burkina Faso is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in inventory management, accounting, finance, or related administrative functions.
- At least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Administration, Business, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Logistics.
- Fundamental knowledge of procure-to-pay processes.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Good analytical abilities.
- Clear understanding of basic accounting principles.
