Intermediate or Senior RMA Planner

About the Role

This position offers an engaging and multifaceted planning opportunity within Planning Plus Ltd based in Silverdale, Auckland. Our projects span rural, urban, and coastal environments, serving diverse clients from private developers to local and central government. As a core team member, you will provide expert planning consultation and support clients through the resource consent process across various project scales and types.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional planning advice compliant with Resource Management Act (RMA) principles.
• Prepare and manage resource consent applications across urban, rural, and coastal contexts.
• Oversee mid to large-scale projects from inception to completion, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with developers, local authorities, and government bodies.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a planning qualification and be eligible for membership with the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI).
• Bring over five years of experience managing resource consents, ideally from consultancy or council backgrounds.
• Proven ability to independently manage workload and time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Motivated to expand knowledge and expertise, embracing continuous professional growth.
• Desire for flexible working arrangements facilitating a healthy work-life balance.
