About the Role
This opportunity is offered through a partner organization seeking an Instructional Designer based in the United States. The role focuses on crafting impactful learning experiences that empower employees to develop essential skills required for outstanding service and optimal business results. You will work collaboratively with various departments to design innovative training programs by utilizing contemporary instructional techniques and technological tools.
The position involves creativity, managing projects, and utilizing data-driven insights to enhance both learning effectiveness and job performance outcomes. You will oversee the entire learning design process, beginning with needs assessment, content creation, and moving through to implementation and outcome measurement. This dynamic environment allows you to influence and improve learning strategies across multiple sectors while supporting continuous enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a range of learning solutions such as e-learning modules, instructor-led classes, blended programs, self-paced resources, job aids, facilitator manuals, and interactive tools.
- Manage the instructional design lifecycle, incorporating analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages based on ADDIE principles.
- Utilize digital platforms, virtual tools, and AI-driven technologies along with established design models to develop learning experiences.
- Develop assessment tools and evaluation methods to track learner progress, skill application, and overall impact on business.
- Apply performance data, learner feedback, and business outcomes to refine training programs and maximize return on learning investments.
- Oversee multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to verify accuracy, relevance, and business alignment of learning content.
- Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and assist live training when necessary.
- Continuously identify ways learning strategies, resources, and tools can be enhanced to boost business performance.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required; formal education or professional training in instructional design, adult learning theories, or evaluation methodologies is preferred.
- Possess 4 to 7 years of experience in designing and developing engaging learning programs.
- Have at least 2 years of experience delivering instructor-led training sessions or facilitating learning experiences.
- Demonstrate proven capabilities managing learning projects throughout all phases from analysis to evaluation.
- Experience working in high-volume service, sales, or operational settings that require adaptability and flexibility.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design theories and learning experience development techniques.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, virtual learning environments, and digital training technologies.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to use business data, learner assessments, and feedback to measure and enhance the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across diverse teams and subject experts.
- Experience integrating AI-enhanced technologies and modern design approaches to scale training content production.
- Strong skills in visual design to produce intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly learning materials.
