Human Resources Business Partner

Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support a growing, multi-site organization within the Midwest region. This role functions as a trusted advisor to leadership, facilitating the alignment of HR initiatives with business goals, while promoting employee engagement, talent development, workforce planning, and overall organizational effectiveness. The position is full-time, based primarily onsite, with about 50% travel to various business locations in cities including Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, or Chicago.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to create and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives and operational priorities.
• Offer coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, talent advancement, and leadership improvement.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate solutions to minimize organizational risk.
• Assist in workforce planning efforts such as talent acquisition, succession planning, and retention strategies.
• Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to identify improvement opportunities and inform business decisions.
• Lead initiatives to boost employee engagement and cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Partner with leadership on organizational design, change management, and restructuring activities.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies.
• Work closely with Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and HR Operations teams.
• Support performance management processes including goal setting and employee development planning.
• Contribute to compensation reviews, promotion recommendations, and other talent management tasks.
• Travel approximately 50% to various business sites to foster relationships and provide onsite HR assistance.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of advancing experience in HR roles such as HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or Senior HR Generalist.
• Comprehensive understanding of employee relations, employment legislation, performance management, and talent management practices.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or business units is preferred.
• Proven ability to influence and nurture relationships at all organizational levels.
• Strong skills in conflict resolution, communications, and problem solving.
• Capability to manage strategic initiatives while addressing daily HR functions.
• Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data-driven decision making.
• Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are advantageous.
• Availability and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, with additional bonus potential and comprehensive benefits included.
