Role Overview

As a Houseperson, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness, manage equipment carefully, and support housekeeping operations at the dual-branded Novotel and Ibis Melbourne Central hotel with 473 rooms, centrally situated.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard all keys and equipment, ensuring guest confidentiality during your shifts.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards, using chemicals and linen economically.
• Keep equipment clean and organized; maintain storerooms and trolleys in good condition.
• Keep hallways clear of trays, linen trolleys, or cages.
• Assist with removal and setup of rollaway beds and cots.
• Provide assistance to guests with general inquiries.
• Support the Housekeeping team with delivering linen, chemicals, laundry, deliveries, and heavy lifting tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Willingness to work on a rotating seven-day roster.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.
• Confident in taking initiative and contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Effective time management skills.
• Familiarity with safe use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety practices.
