Housekeeping Associate

Position Overview

The St. Regis Goa Resort, part of Marriott International, invites applications for the role of Housekeeping Associate located in Kolkata, India. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction through meticulous attention to room care and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly address requests from guests and other departments ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Prepare and transport supply carts to designated areas as part of daily operations.
• Gain room access by following proper protocols and verifying vacancy before entry.
• Replenish guest room amenities and supplies to ensure comfort throughout the stay.
• Change and replace linens and terry with fresh items, including making beds and folding towels.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly.
• Dispose of trash, dirty linens, and room service remnants to maintain cleanliness.
• Inspect all room appliances to confirm presence and functionality.
• Organize desks, furniture, and appliances for a neat appearance.
• Perform dusting, polishing, and remove marks from walls and furnishings as required.
• Vacuum carpets and undertake floor care tasks in guest rooms and corridors.
• Comply with company safety and security policies, report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and complete mandated safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and safeguard confidential proprietary information.
• Greet guests warmly according to company standards and proactively anticipate their service needs, including assisting guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Adhere strictly to quality assurance protocols and standards.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving objects up to 25 pounds independently, with assistance for heavier items.
• Operate housekeeping carts and equipment over uneven or sloping surfaces.
• Maintain physical stamina by standing, sitting, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching during shifts.
• Demonstrate dexterity and coordination for handling various objects.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Preferred minimum education: No formal high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• No prior work or supervisory experience necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
