Housekeeper

Job Summary

This position involves performing thorough cleaning and maintenance duties within a hotel environment. The role requires attending to various housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Language and Education

• English proficiency required.
• No formal degree, certificate, or diploma necessary.

Work Environment

• Work performed onsite at the physical location; no remote work available.
• Setting includes hotel, motel, or resort facilities.

Core Duties

• Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• Dusting furniture.
• Vacuuming carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Making beds and changing linens.
• Distributing clean towels and toiletries to guest rooms.
• Stocking linen closets.
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and polishing kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Disinfecting operating rooms and other designated areas.
• Handling and reporting lost and found items.
• Responding to guest requests for extra supplies or items.
• Providing basic information about the facilities.
• Picking up debris and emptying trash containers.
• Laundering clothing and household linens.
• Mending clothing and linens as needed.
• Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties such as washing windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Cleaning changing rooms and showers.
• Addressing and resolving customer complaints or concerns.

Additional Information: Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Capacity to manage repetitive and physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• High attention to detail is necessary.
