Role Overview
This position is for a polished House Manager to run the daily functioning of an exclusive private home in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role reports to the Principal or a representative from the family office. The right candidate will come from a strong luxury hospitality background, ideally shaped by 5-star hotels, upscale resorts, or premium food and beverage operations, and must be committed to delivering exceptional service.
Prior experience supporting private households for ultra-high-net-worth families is a major advantage. The House Manager will ensure the residence operates smoothly, coordinate domestic teams, oversee events, maintain high service standards, and provide a discreet, tailored experience for the family and their guests.
This is a live-in opportunity at the residence, with a 6-day work week. Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
Household Operations
- Supervise the full day-to-day running of the residence so everything functions efficiently.
- Set and enforce luxury service standards throughout the home.
- Oversee housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, security, chauffeurs, chefs, and other household personnel.
- Keep the property maintained to an immaculate standard at all times.
Staff Management
- Hire, induct, train, and oversee domestic staff.
- Plan rosters, monitor performance, and organise work schedules.
- Build a workplace culture centered on professionalism, discretion, and high performance.
- Deliver recurring training on hospitality and guest service expectations.
Hospitality and Guest Experience
- Provide a refined five-star experience for the family and their guests.
- Coordinate VIP visits, family events, private gatherings, and special celebrations.
- Handle dining service, table presentation, food styling, and overall guest experience.
- Work with chefs and outside vendors to ensure outstanding catering and service delivery.
Vendors and Service Providers
- Manage contractors, suppliers, maintenance vendors, and other external service partners.
- Negotiate agreements and track the quality of service provided.
- Ensure maintenance is completed promptly and household assets receive preventive care.
Budget and Inventory
- Track household spending and stay within budget.
- Oversee purchasing of household supplies, luxury items, and consumables.
- Keep accurate inventory logs and manage stock levels effectively.
Travel and Lifestyle Support
- Arrange travel plans, itineraries, and special requests for the family.
- Assist with lifestyle management tasks when needed.
- Make sure the residences are fully prepared before the family departs and after they return.
Confidentiality and Compliance
- Maintain complete discretion and the highest level of confidentiality.
- Follow local laws, health and safety rules, and household policies.
- Deal with sensitive matters carefully, professionally, and with sound judgment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will bring 7 to 10 years of experience in luxury hospitality, preferably from 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, or premium food and beverage environments. Backgrounds in House Manager, Residence Manager, F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager, Butler Manager, Guest Relations Manager, or Hotel Operations Manager roles are especially relevant. Strong Arabic and English communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of luxury service and VIP guest handling. The role also calls for excellent organisation, people management, professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence. A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience with an ultra-high-net-worth family, royal household, private office, or family office is preferred.
- Formal training in butler service or luxury hospitality from a recognised institute is an advantage.
- Prior experience managing large residences and culturally diverse household teams is desirable.
- Knowledge of fine dining service, protocol, and etiquette would be beneficial.
Additional Information
This is a live-in position based at the residence in Dubai. The working pattern is six days per week.
