Position Overview
WSP Middle East is actively seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Business Development Manager to spearhead the expansion of our heritage services throughout the region. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing business opportunities, broadening sector presence, fostering client relationships, and supporting excellence in heritage project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage business development efforts for archaeology and cultural heritage services across Middle Eastern markets.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities among government agencies, tourism bodies, cultural institutions, property developers, and infrastructure clients.
- Build and sustain strong client relations, serving as a prominent advocate for WSP’s heritage division.
- Broaden and diversify heritage services including archaeology, conservation, heritage master planning, and cultural initiatives within regional markets.
- Contribute to or produce comprehensive archaeological assessments and heritage documentation.
- Engage stakeholders, including curators, regulatory bodies, and clients to facilitate project approvals and implementation.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams such as environment, planning, sustainability, and urban development to promote integrated service delivery.
- Champion heritage-related services across internal teams within WSP.
- Ensure projects align with WSP’s standards in technical quality, safety, and commercial management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in archaeology and heritage business development focused on the Middle East.
- Strong commercial insight and proven success in acquiring heritage or cultural sector projects within the region.
- Experienced in managing archaeological or heritage-related projects including fieldwork supervision, financial control, and team leadership.
- In-depth understanding of Middle Eastern archaeology, cultural heritage, planning processes, relevant environmental legislation, and heritage regulations.
- Expertise in areas such as heritage and planning, master planning and placemaking, conservation and heritage regeneration, recreational, tourism and cultural development, sustainability integration, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Exceptional written communication and client engagement skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, with a strong commitment to delivering quality outputs on time and within budgets.
