Role Overview
The position of Helping Hands Support Coordinator is a full-time remote role dedicated to assisting individuals and families contacting the foundation. Daily responsibilities include addressing inquiries, collecting and organizing client data, and advising on how to utilize financial, housing, food, and social service programs. The role requires coordination with partner organizations, maintaining logs of assistance delivered, and ensuring follow-up for timely support. Additional duties may include preparing simple reports, updating digital resources, and participating in virtual meetings aimed at enhancing outreach and service effectiveness. A consistent online presence, professionalism, and a passion for community service are essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with active listening, clear explanation, and empathy toward clients.
- Strong organizational abilities including data management, record-keeping, and efficient time management to handle multiple cases.
- Basic digital literacy skills, familiarity with email, office software, online forms, and virtual meeting platforms are necessary for remote work.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing client requirements and providing precise guidance on social welfare resources.
- A firm ethical framework emphasizing confidentiality and respect for diversity in all interactions.
- Preferably experience in social work, community service, non-profit roles, or customer support; minimum high school diploma or equivalent required, with additional education in social sciences considered advantageous.
