Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Helpdesk Analyst who is dedicated to delivering excellent technical support and resolving IT-related issues efficiently. You will act as the initial contact point for users, diagnosing and addressing problems related to hardware, software, networks, and systems. This position requires keen troubleshooting expertise, effective communication skills, and a focus on maintaining high service standards.
Key Duties
- Deliver first-level assistance for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
- Respond promptly to user requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and solve technical incidents and service demands.
- Escalate intricate problems to specialized teams and ensure follow-through.
- Maintain accurate logging, tracking, and updating of support tickets through helpdesk systems.
- Set up, configure, and support desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Guide users with operating systems, productivity tools, email, and business software.
- Administer user accounts, handle password resets, and manage access per security guidelines.
- Create documentation such as troubleshooting guides, technical resolutions, and knowledge base content.
- Observe recurring problems and propose improvements to processes or systems.
- Support effective IT asset management by keeping hardware and software inventories up to date.
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards and data protection policies.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to uphold high levels of user satisfaction and service quality.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, support tools, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking basics.
- Experience or familiarity with Windows, macOS environments, Microsoft 365, and standard business applications.
- Basic expertise in Active Directory, user management, and access control.
- Understanding of networking protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Knowledge of IT service management methodologies and helpdesk ticketing platforms.
- Foundational cybersecurity concepts and endpoint protection awareness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-demand support setting and to work independently or as part of a team.
