Job Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium home and commercial maintenance and repair projects, with job durations ranging from two hours up to two days.
• Communicate effectively with customers to clarify needed work and manage expectations about project scope and expenses.
• Provide outstanding service to foster loyal, repeat customers by following the established Mr. Handyman process to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Performance Metrics

• Maintain high customer satisfaction scores through active encouragement of survey participation for every job, aiming for both high response and satisfaction rates.
• Achieve revenue targets by leveraging office support to gain customer entry and providing additional value during visits.
• Ensure accurate invoicing, proper sourcing of materials, and effective payment collection to maintain a favorable billing rate.
• Guarantee quality by adhering to our one-year work warranty and achieving a low recall percentage through first-time correct repairs.

Requirements

• Reside locally within the service area.
• Possess at least 8 years of paid experience as a handyman.
• Own and maintain personal tools necessary for the job.
• Be eligible and insurable to operate company vehicles.
• Pass background and driving history checks.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds independently and safely performing overhead and height-related tasks for extended periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and care for the assigned company vehicle.
• Proficient in at least three of these areas: carpentry, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, interior/exterior painting, drywall repairs, general plumbing, electrical work as authorized by law, and flooring installation or renovation.

Work Environment and Tools

• Use company-provided van with gas card.
• Supported by a dedicated office team handling calls and scheduling.
• Provided with an iPad and technology assistance for our ServiceTitan system.
• Flexible work hours to accommodate personal commitments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience and skillset.

Additional Information

You will often work independently and must be self-directed. Delivering excellent customer service is essential, including obtaining reviews and managing payments on-site. Adherence to safety protocols, including proper personal protective equipment and protecting customers’ homes with booties, is required.
