Guest Services Agent

Position Overview

Ventia, collaborating with the Australian Defence Force, is recruiting an experienced Guest Services Agent to manage on-base accommodation services at RAAF Tindal in Katherine, Northern Territory. This role provides full-time permanent employment within a longstanding Defence contract, offering a competitive salary, supplied uniform/PPE, and access to various employee health, wellbeing programs and substantial retail discounts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for guests, ensuring a professional and warm reception from arrival through departure.
• Manage room bookings and allocations effectively for posted and transiting personnel.
• Handle the issuance, tracking, and secure storage of room keys diligently.
• Coordinate cleaning services, maintenance tasks, and respond promptly to service requests.
• Maintain accurate records including occupancy statistics, rank-room allocations, logbooks, inventory, and condition assessments.
• Collaborate with leadership to align accommodation arrangements with rank and availability requirements.
• Conduct thorough room inspections to guarantee functionality and create a welcoming environment.
• Manage deliveries, support IT systems related to bookings, and assist visitors and contractors as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum one year of experience in hospitality or accommodation management.
• Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient with MS Office applications and familiar with record-keeping systems.
• Excellent communication abilities and strong customer service orientation.
• Demonstrates respect and inclusiveness when working with diverse cultural and community groups.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance; Australian citizenship and willingness to undergo and maintain an Australian Federal Police background check are mandatory.
