About the Role

We seek a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Sydney-based technology team at HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). This mid-level position involves creating modern, scalable web applications encompassing both client-side and server-side development. The role demands building intuitive user interfaces, robust back-end systems, and integrating APIs and databases. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders is essential to deliver secure and reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain comprehensive web applications and platforms.
• Create responsive and accessible front-end interfaces utilizing modern web frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and business logic implementations.
• Integrate and manage connections to relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and external services.
• Work alongside product management, UX/UI design, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to craft technical solutions.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth third-party service integration.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, security, and overall user experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, implementing sustainable fixes.
• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical design, and Agile development workflows.
• Contribute to automated testing and continuous integration/deployment processes.
• Maintain documentation, coding standards, and system specifications.
• Stay updated on emerging web technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and software best practices.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of full stack software development and web application architecture.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Backend programming skills in languages like Node.js, Python, Java, C#, PHP, or Go.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, security, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable.
• Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Agile development, and DevOps practices.
