Job description
Role Overview
The Fuel Delivery Driver position involves collaborating with the Dispatch team to safely deliver fuel products to both residential and commercial clients. The role centers on providing essential services within a safety-driven environment, adhering to daily routes, correctly loading the delivery truck, and performing mandatory pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections while complying strictly with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate delivery trucks according to DOT standards and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fuel products.
- Navigate daily assigned routes effectively using knowledge of local geography and traffic regulations.
- Safely load fuel at bulk plants or loading sites following established safety policies.
- Complete shift documentation including pre/post trip vehicle inspections and delivery reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid Canadian Class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with airbrakes (A or D license with Z endorsement).
- Have a minimum of two years’ professional driving experience; experience handling liquid loads is advantageous.
- Hold at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Demonstrate basic math skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit strong customer service aptitude and a commitment to safety.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and successfully pass pre-employment checks including criminal background, drug test, and road test.
