Role overview

Vili’s Family Bakery is looking for a dependable and hardworking team member to join its freezer operations at the Mile End South site. The business has been baking pies and cakes for more than 50 years and is known as a family-owned South Australian brand with a strong workplace culture.

What the role involves

This position sits in the freezer team and focuses on warehouse work in a cold storage setting. The job includes forklift operation, moving and rotating stock, picking and packing orders, and supporting general warehouse tasks as needed.

Working hours

The roster runs from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 am. The standard shift length is 7.6 hours per day, with extra hours potentially available when demand is higher.

This is an ongoing casual opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent later on.

What the employer is seeking

The ideal candidate should already have proven forklift experience and, preferably, some background in a warehouse or cold storage environment. The role requires the ability to work for long periods in freezer conditions, careful attention to stock control and food safety, a safety-first attitude, reliability, teamwork, and the physical ability to complete manual handling duties.
