Additionally, Nas.com is developing an AI agents platform that enables businesses to deploy AI-driven marketing agents integrated with advertising, social media, CRM, transaction and financial systems, analytics, and other data sources. These agents aid businesses in performance analysis, opportunity identification, decision-making, and action planning.

Role Overview

We seek a Founding Data Engineer to take complete ownership of our data platform's evolution. While an existing platform, pipelines, and data models are in place, several components require strengthened stewardship, upkeep, and technical guidance. This position involves inheriting the current state, thoroughly understanding it, stabilizing effective parts, rectifying issues, and redesigning elements as needed. As a founding member, you will shape the future iterations of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance pipelines linking MongoDB transaction and product datasets, Google Analytics, CRM, financial, advertising platforms, and other operational data sources to our data warehouse.
• Elevate data quality, dependability, performance, and maintainability through enhanced testing, monitoring, transformation, documentation, and clear ownership.
• Craft data models and define business metrics to provide insights into company performance, product usage, and growth trends.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts and various stakeholders across Product, Finance, Operations, Engineering teams, leadership, and executive boards.
• Create a practical data intelligence platform that simplifies trusted data access and usability for different teams.
• Oversee platform performance and costs, making pragmatic infrastructure choices suitable for a fast-evolving startup environment.
• Proactively investigate business issues, identify growth prospects, and assist teams in making informed decisions rather than only fulfilling data requests.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Have established or deployed production-grade data infrastructures from the ground up, preferably in dynamic startup settings.
• Demonstrate the ability to select balanced technology stacks for startups—considering speed, scalability, costs, operational complexity, and long-term upkeep.
• Exhibit solid expertise in data modeling and engineering fundamentals, including building and managing production data pipelines.
• Value the entire system encompassing data quality, reliability, efficiency, infrastructure expense, usability, and maintenance beyond a single component.
• Show strong ownership and accountability, capable of managing complex, ambiguous challenges through to functioning solutions.
• Have an exploratory and inquisitive mindset, comfortable navigating unfamiliar systems, clarifying unclear requirements, challenging assumptions, and deriving solutions where not readily apparent.
• Be AI-fluent, routinely leveraging AI tools to expedite engineering, analysis, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrate genuine curiosity about business drivers behind the data, not just technical infrastructure.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with AWS, MongoDB, BigQuery, dbt, Google Analytics, and advertising platform data is highly advantageous. Prior roles as a software engineer or data analyst add extra value.
