Role Summary

The Food Services Representative is responsible for delivering food services to patients, guests, and customers while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe food production environment. Duties include preparing and assembling food and beverage items, delivering patient trays or catering orders, and performing daily cleaning of dishes and work areas. This position also involves receiving and stocking food and supplies following First In, First Out (FIFO) protocols. Additionally, acting as a liaison among patients, guests, physicians, hospital staff, and Food and Nutrition Services is a key element. Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Educational & Credential Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Food Handler certification is preferred though not required.
• Forklift certification is advantageous but nonessential.

Experience

Prior experience in food services is desirable but not a necessity.

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Food and Nutrition Services – St Joseph’s Main and Children’s locations
• Employment status: Full-time, Non-exempt
• Shift: Shift 4 (varied hours), 8.5-hour shifts
• Weekend work schedule: Every other weekend
• On-call: No
• Remote work: This position requires onsite presence; remote work is not offered.
