Fleet Operations Driver

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and practical Fleet Operations Driver to join our team for shift-based work in Karlsruhe. Your key responsibility will be deploying and maintaining e-scooters across the city to ensure availability and safety for users.

Role Description

You will manage the distribution and operational readiness of e-scooters, guaranteeing they are charged, safely parked, and ready for use. Duties include vehicle driving, scooter collection, repairing minor issues in the field, and returning faulty scooters to the warehouse for maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vans to collect, deploy, and swap batteries of e-scooters.
• Ensure scooters are parked tidily and do not obstruct streets or sidewalks.
• Locate misplaced scooters, assess their condition, and return them to the warehouse or redeploy them within the city.
• Carry out minor repairs onsite to maximize fleet availability.
• Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed by the Operations team.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a valid EU B driving license with manual transmission proficiency.
• Experienced driver with strong knowledge of local routes and a record of safe driving; prior professional driving experience is preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive mentality with a readiness to own tasks and solve problems independently.
• Good command of English and familiarity with smartphones and mechanical tools.
