Fire Fighter

Job Summary

The Fire Fighter is responsible for ensuring complete readiness to respond swiftly and effectively to any emergency at a power or desalination plant. This role supports the Fire Fighter Leader in managing emergency procedures, equipment, and overall fire safety to protect personnel, plant operations, assets, and the environment.

Primary Duties

• Maintain 100% preparedness for emergency situations onsite.
• Under supervision, uphold safety and occupational health standards for plant personnel and safeguard company property and environmental conditions related to fire safety.
• Continuously monitor fire safety developments and industry best practices, providing updates to fire supervisors for appropriate action.
• Execute tasks assigned by the Fireman, Fire Marshal, or Fire Supervisor promptly and efficiently.
• Contribute to the organization’s continuous improvement by identifying and participating in change initiatives and projects aligned with company standards.
• Comply fully with all organizational policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions to maintain consistent and high-quality safety operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by the line manager.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the HSSE team and all plant employees to ensure cohesive safety management.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School diploma or Technical School certification.
• NEBOSH certification or an equivalent safety qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional firefighting experience.
• Experience in power plant or manufacturing settings is preferred.
