Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee the financial and fiscal management for their region. This position entails managing financial planning and analysis, taxation, compliance, internal controls, risk management, treasury, and business partnering to support sustainable growth and profitability. The role requires acting as a strategic finance partner to senior management, providing insight-driven recommendations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and establishing strong financial governance throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional financial planning, budget preparation, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial planning activities.
- Evaluate business performance by providing actionable insights that support decision-making and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to prepare operating plans and monitor critical business and financial KPIs.
- Conduct performance reviews and suggest corrective measures to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Communicate financial results, forecasts, and business insights to senior management regularly.
- Perform financial analyses to assess organizational health and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze cash flow, working capital, expenses, and costs to guide organizational decisions.
- Review financial statements to recognize risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure prompt and accurate preparation of periodic financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Guarantee compliance with local tax laws and statutory requirements while devising effective tax planning strategies.
- Manage liaison with tax authorities, auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal audit teams.
- Maintain conformity with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory rules.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Enhance financial governance and risk management practices throughout the enterprise.
- Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and enforce appropriate controls.
- Manage accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Oversee treasury functions including cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
- Manage banking relationships and treasury operations effectively.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposures and enact suitable hedging strategies to reduce risk.
- Lead and mentor the regional finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and partnership with the business units.
- Develop finance capabilities aligned with organizational growth plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles.
- Prior experience in industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, Retail, Healthcare, or FMCG is preferred.
- At least 3 years in a finance leadership role such as Regional Finance Business Partner or Finance Controller.
- Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), taxation, compliances, internal controls, treasury management, and business finance.
