Role overview
Burjline Builders is representing a client in Qatar that is looking for a seasoned and proactive Facility Manager to run operations and maintenance for a high-profile commercial property in Doha. The role is centered on delivering integrated facilities management services to a high standard while ensuring a safe, compliant, and service-oriented environment.
What you will do
- Direct the daily facilities operations for a large commercial property.
- Oversee both hard and soft FM services, making sure maintenance work is completed effectively and aligned with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Supervise MEP systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems, BMS, and preventive maintenance planning.
- Lead, coach, and coordinate in-house teams, contractors, and external service providers to achieve strong service outcomes.
- Track operational results, budgets, asset life cycles, and maintenance timetables.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Maintain full adherence to health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
- Promote ongoing improvements that strengthen efficiency, customer experience, and asset performance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a similar field is required.
- You should bring at least 10 years of facilities management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Hands-on experience managing facilities in large shopping malls or premium retail developments is mandatory.
- Strong exposure to commercial retail settings and a clear understanding of shopping mall operations and customer-centric FM practices is essential.
- You must have proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and outsourced service partners.
- Good working knowledge of MEP systems, building maintenance, asset management, CAFM platforms, and regulatory compliance is needed.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder handling, and problem-solving abilities are expected.
- Professional credentials such as IFMA, IWFM/BIFM, FMP, CFM, PMP, NEBOSH, or IOSH will be an added advantage.
