Facilities Management Supervisor

Role Overview

The Facilities Management Supervisor leads and oversees the day-to-day functions of facility services, ensuring the upkeep and optimal performance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role focuses on maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure to support organizational operations, while managing teams and vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily operational activities including maintenance, housekeeping, and security functions.
• Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Oversee and assess vendor performance for outsourced facility services.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Manage work orders and service requests, ensuring their prompt resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive records related to maintenance activities, assets, and compliance documentation.
• Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Assist with budget formulation and control facility-related expenditures.
• Support emergency preparedness, response efforts, and crisis management protocols.
• Provide training, supervision, and leadership to facility staff to enhance efficiency.
• Implement initiatives focused on energy conservation and cost optimization.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Have 3 to 6 years of experience in facilities management or supervising maintenance teams.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Experience managing vendors and handling contracts effectively.
• Well-versed in health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Proficient with MS Office applications and familiar with facility management software, preferably CMMS.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized in approach.
