Job Overview
The Extraction Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing continuous operations for extraction and oil refinement, handling processes from initial dry/wet biomass to final raw extract production. This role requires strict adherence to GMP standards and company policies, ensuring consistent product quality aligned with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the company's uniform guidelines.
- Maintain consistent output of high-quality products meeting company benchmarks.
- Lead personnel training across related sub-departments, including ethanol and CO2 extraction, winterization, filtration, solvent removal, decarboxylation, concentrate production, and wiped film distillation.
- Ensure extraction team compliance with operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide regular sub-departmental reports to Administration.
- Achieve weekly production targets for distillate and concentrate via Ethanol extraction techniques.
- Manage weekly biomass product consumption in accordance with extraction needs.
- Review and finalize lot portfolios prior to submission to Administration.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot extraction laboratory equipment.
- Develop and enhance the skills and performance of all Extraction Technicians.
- Streamline operational logistics to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create personnel schedules subject to approval by supervisors.
- Monitor ambient operational temperatures to sustain compliance.
- Collaborate with chemists to maximize extraction and refinement efficiency.
- Partner with Administration to complete accurate employee evaluations.
- Supervise extraction technicians and oversee their performance.
- Report any infrastructure-related deficiencies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts to maintain accuracy.

Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- At least three years of experience in extraction and processing technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities including confidence, integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
- Ability to successfully clear a Level II Background Check.
