Excel Specialist (Remote, Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excel Specialist to join on a contract basis working remotely. This role involves designing and simulating sophisticated business scenarios using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, reflecting real-world professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and simulate complex, realistic business cases requiring advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in structured multi-turn interactions with a large language model (LLM), delivering detailed prompts related to document creation and analysis.
• Create and assess Office format documents (.xlsx, .docx, .pptx) by reviewing two AI-generated solutions and determining the preferred outcome based on professional quality criteria.
• Provide comprehensive feedback, including side-by-side comparisons, to help enhance AI model accuracy, quality, and business relevance.
• Leverage cross-industry and multi-function domain knowledge to ensure data collection across varied real-world scenarios.
• Maintain clear, precise communication through written and spoken channels to offer actionable insights for AI training teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience in Fortune 500 companies utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on impactful business assignments.
• Proven expertise in building sophisticated models, reports, analyses, and presentations spanning industries such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
• Experience in business roles like private equity associate, investment banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR professional, or marketing strategist, with involvement in deal or project-related work.
• Capability to design use cases touching on functions including strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or human resources.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, emphasizing attention to detail and clear feedback articulation.
• Prior interactions with large language models or crafting long-form AI prompts is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills enabling nuanced evaluation of document quality and alignment with business needs.
