With an expanding network of laboratories around major mining regions, the company utilizes advanced high-technology analytical equipment to optimize service delivery and reduce lead times and transportation costs.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible driver to join our Grand Falls-Windsor laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles and buses, adhering to company safety and operational protocols, and supporting site administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles including light cars and buses following supervisor instructions and strictly observing site safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the protection of vehicles and personnel against any damage during operations.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports concerning any risks or accidents encountered.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and actively participate in occupational safety meetings.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on company vehicles, including engine upkeep, cleanliness, inspections, and prompt reporting of any defects.
- Maintain accurate records for all company vehicles utilized.
- Prevent unauthorized passengers from traveling in company vehicles.
- Support administrative activities, such as coordinating site permits and accompanying contractors within the site premises.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams while also working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to perform well under pressure.
- Competent in following both written and oral instructions accurately.
- Possess proficient car driving skills with comprehensive knowledge of local roads.
- Physical stamina to drive for extended durations when necessary.
- Capability to utilize GPS navigation devices efficiently.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant driving experience in a similar role.
