Role Overview

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping clients remain safely and comfortably in their homes. This position requires travel between clients’ residences using your own vehicle; hence a valid Western Australian driver's license and confident driving skills within Perth are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform domestic tasks aligned with specific Care Plan guidelines.
• Report to Client Care Coordinators if there are noticeable changes in client behavior that may warrant reassessment.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Ensure clients are satisfied with the services provided.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately.
• Participate actively in Support Worker and Domestic Assistant meetings.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will embrace the core values of Southern Cross Care WA, have a natural affinity and respect for older adults, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent and friendly service. Prior formal experience in aged care is not essential, but experience in domestic assistance and the ability to adhere to policies and client privacy are required.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience with domestic assistance duties.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using mobile devices and applications.
• A genuine passion for exceeding client expectations.
• Own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid WA driver’s license.
• Confidence driving in Australian traffic conditions, including peak hours.
