Role Overview
As a Designer within our Design team based in Sydney, you will work under the guidance of the Principal, Design. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to corporate interior projects by supporting all design stages from initial concepts through detailed documentation, fostering your professional development and enabling you to shape inspiring work environments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the design team to generate and refine design concepts aligned with client objectives.
- Assist senior members in selecting finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that enhance both function and aesthetics.
- Develop preliminary space layouts with mentorship, applying principles of spatial efficiency and flow.
- Facilitate preparation of detailed drawings and documentation to support design packages.
- Contribute to furniture and finish specification packages, including cost estimation.
- Participate in site visits and surveys to verify design accuracy and document conditions.
- Support field information gathering and engage in client communications as part of your growth process.
- Use design software to update and improve drawings based on feedback.

Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in interior design or related disciplines, preferably involving corporate interiors or equivalent education.
- Strong grasp of interior design fundamentals including color theory, materiality, and form.
- Knowledgeable in space planning, furniture selection, and workplace design considerations.
- Basic skills in sketching, rendering, and detailing with enthusiasm to advance these through mentorship.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software with experience creating or updating construction documentation.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; eagerness to enhance technical capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to contribute ideas and engage through questions.
