Role Overview

We invite applications for the role of Demand Planning Professional based in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. This role involves active engagement in procurement and supply chain activities, aimed at streamlining material availability and elevating operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and manage purchase requisitions generated through SAP R/3.
• Coordinate and prepare the release of purchase orders.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Interface with customs authorities for clearance procedures.
• Adjust delivery schedules in alignment with production requirements and inventory status.
• Collaborate with head office finance for transit damage insurance matters.
• Work to minimize shop floor downtime due to material shortages.
• Coordinate logistics between production cells, dispatch teams, and vendors handling subcontracted items.
• Manage resolution of quality issues by communicating between manufacturing and vendors.
• Engage with vendor development and quality inspection teams to address vendor quality concerns.
• Monitor and strive to enhance vendor delivery reliability.
• Maintain and update procurement lead times within SAP MRP modules.
• Streamline purchase order quantity by consolidating purchase requisitions based on lead times.
• Coordinate with product development teams regarding design or specification amendments.
• Drive sourcing strategies such as Consignment Stock, Contract Warehousing, and KANBAN to boost material availability and optimize inventory levels.
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve overall processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 4-5 years’ experience with SAP, specifically in Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules.
• Strong ability to establish clear communication and maintain effective coordination with both external suppliers and internal teams.
• Adaptability and flexibility to respond to urgent demands and customer requirements promptly.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• Result-oriented mindset with emphasis on teamwork, quality, and proactive learning and analysis.

Additional Information

This position requires onsite presence in Nashik and may involve occasional travel across India and internationally.
