About the Role
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific's team as a Demand Planner II within the Supply Chain division, located in Singapore. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing 24-month demand forecasts for major product lines. You will partner closely with diverse functional groups to enhance forecast precision, balance inventory objectives, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This role bridges commercial strategic planning with operational execution by converting market and business insights into supply chain plans, utilizing advanced forecasting tools and analytics to help the company fulfill its commitment to fostering a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles and facilitate demand review sessions.
- Drive efforts for continuous process improvements within demand planning activities.
- Analyze market trends, historical sales data, and business intelligence to generate reliable demand forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to optimize inventory levels, mitigate risks of excess stock and obsolescence, and support efficient production plans.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma with a minimum of two years' experience in demand planning or supply chain management.
- Preferred educational backgrounds include Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- APICS certification is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with demand planning software such as SAP, Forecast Pro, Kinaxis, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in statistical forecasting and modeling techniques.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, alongside experience in BI platforms like Power BI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for presenting to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated expertise in S&OP processes, inventory control, cross-team collaboration, and project management.
- Experience within life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
- Ability to navigate and function effectively in a matrix organizational structure.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude using data-driven approaches.
- Proficiency in English is a necessity; additional languages are beneficial.
Work Conditions
- Standard work schedule from Monday to Friday.
