- Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments such as A/B tests and causal inference analyses together with engineering and applied science partners.
- Work with product and engineering teams to define features, estimate business impact, and guide pricing and monetization choices.
- Create, maintain, and review important business and product metrics, while investigating unusual trends or performance changes.
- Build strong knowledge of marketplace systems, pricing logic, and user funnel behavior.
- Turn detailed analytical findings into practical recommendations for product, marketing, and leadership stakeholders.
- Help strengthen data quality, metric standards, and analytical methods across the organization.
- Support and mentor other data scientists through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with very large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with experiment design, A/B testing, analysis, and interpretation.
- Solid knowledge of statistics, causal inference, and experimental methodology.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, design, and marketing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analysis in simple business terms.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area.
- Sharp analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance several priorities in a fast-paced, data-focused environment.
