- Assist in developing and testing end-to-end machine learning pipelines from initial data handling stages through to deployment.
- Perform data cleaning, annotation, and preprocessing tasks to ensure data quality and relevance.
- Contribute to building internal resources including tools, software packages, and reusable components.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, comprehensive technical reports, and analytical insights.
- Keep updated with the latest advancements in LLM research and evaluate their potential integration into client solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in data science libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Solid grasp of core machine learning concepts including classification, regression, model validation, and feature engineering.
- Awareness and understanding of LLMs and transformer architectures (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Mistral) gained through academic studies, projects, or self-learning.
- Fluency in German (both written and spoken) and good command of English.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of LLM-related frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience with fine-tuning or assessing language models.
- Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval methods based on embeddings.
- Basic understanding of software development practices including object-oriented programming, version control with Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Active involvement in communities reflected by GitHub repositories, Kaggle competitions, or published research.
- German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
Terms and Conditions
- This is a paid internship position.
- The role is fully remote and full-time, requiring adherence to your academic institution's guidelines.
- Minimum internship duration is six months.
- Flexible working schedules to balance work and academic commitments.
