Data Center Technician

About the Role

Apidel Technologies is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to work at its Navi Mumbai location, focusing on AWS Infrastructure Services. This contract position requires immediate joiners and adheres to day shift hours.

Key Duties

• Installing server racks and deploying hardware components.
• Performing fiber optic as well as copper network cabling tasks.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining hardware equipment.
• Managing cables and overall data center operational activities.
• Adhering to change management protocols and following safety standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 12 years of experience in data center operations, rack installation, or network cabling.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in troubleshooting computer hardware.
• Practical expertise in fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Basic understanding of server hardware and networking fundamentals.
• Good command of English communication.
• Comfort and capability to work within a physical data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AWS or hyperscale data center environments.
• Experience with rack and stack processes, cable management, and MCM procedures.
• Certifications such as CompTIA or equivalents are advantageous.

Eligibility and Education

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Graduate degree in a technical field or have equivalent practical experience. Specifically, a B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is required.
