Data Analyst

Overview

MCG Talent is working with a professional services firm in Singapore that is hiring a Data Analyst to help drive better business decisions through analysis, reporting, and continuous process improvements.

This opportunity is well suited to someone with a background in data analytics, consulting, advisory work, or commercial analysis who can collaborate with stakeholders across different teams and turn business questions into practical, data-backed recommendations.

The selected candidate will partner with internal teams to gather, prepare, examine, and present data in a way that highlights patterns, improves performance, and supports wider strategic work. The ideal person will be strong in analysis, commercially minded, and comfortable explaining insights to non-technical audiences in a clear and useful manner.

Responsibilities

• Study business and operational datasets to spot trends, pain points, risks, and growth opportunities, then convert those findings into practical recommendations.
• Create and update dashboards, reports, and visual tools that help leaders and teams monitor performance on an ongoing basis.
• Gather information from different sources, check its accuracy, clean it up, and organize it so it is easier to use and trust.
• Assist with one-off analysis for strategic initiatives, planning activities, client-related work, and improvement projects.
• Communicate findings and suggestions in a concise, business-oriented way for audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Help strengthen data governance, reporting workflows, and analytical standards across the organization.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Roughly 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, consulting, advisory, or another similar analytical position.
• A valid SG RTW is required, as sponsorship and relocation are not available.
• Prior exposure to professional services, consulting, financial services, or corporate environments is preferred; applicants from consulting backgrounds are welcome.
• Strong command of SQL and Excel is essential, while Python or R experience is considered an advantage.
