Role Overview

This position demands a robust blend of business analysis, data analytics, SQL proficiency, reporting acumen, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Modern organizations in the US seek analysts adept at bridging business needs with data-driven insights leveraging SQL, BI platforms, and clear documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze business and functional requirements, preparing documents such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and User Stories.
• Collaborate extensively with stakeholders to grasp business goals and translate them into precise data requirements.
• Utilize SQL to examine large datasets, detecting trends, irregularities, and business prospects.
• Create dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and executive-level reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Design data models, process flowcharts, workflow diagrams, and document business processes.
• Conduct data validation, profiling, and root cause analyses to maintain data integrity.
• Perform Gap Analysis and advise on process enhancements.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Partner with Data Engineers and ETL Developers to specify source-to-target data mappings.
• Define business rules, KPIs, relevant metrics, and reporting prerequisites.
• Assist Quality Assurance teams by drafting test scenarios, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases, and verifying business needs.
• Track business metrics through dashboards to identify optimization opportunities.
• Deliver presentations on analytical findings and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Contribute to data governance efforts ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
• Work collaboratively across Product, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering departments.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Business Analyst.
• Demonstrated expertise in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and skills in managing stakeholder relationships.
• Experience operating within Agile/Scrum project environments.
