Data Analyst

Role Overview

This position is for a Data Analyst who will help strengthen billing accuracy, revenue assurance, and operational reporting for a busy customer systems environment. Acting as a bridge between operations, finance, and technology teams, the role turns detailed data into practical insights that improve controls, reduce revenue loss, and guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong working knowledge of the billing, payment, and customer communication systems that support the revenue process.
• Watch for data patterns, spot gaps in integrity, and surface risks or improvement opportunities to leadership.
• Create and manage dashboards plus recurring reports, both scheduled and one-off, to monitor operational and financial results.
• Provide analytical support that leads to process improvements and measurable performance gains.
• Assist with the complete billing cycle, including reporting, audit support, and workflow enhancements.
• Document the current process state and contribute ideas and input for future-state design work.
• Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders and outside partners.
• Promote ongoing improvement by identifying automation possibilities and stronger working methods.
• Support project execution and organizational change efforts when needed.

Required Background and Skills

• A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a closely related area.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, business operations support, or analytics tied to revenue outcomes.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI ability, strong PowerPoint skills, and preferred SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to ERP or billing systems, with SAP S/4HANA or similar platforms considered an advantage.
• Ability to work confidently with large data sets, models, and complex information.
• Strong independent work style and comfort in a fast-moving, high-volume setting.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and focused on delivering results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data to non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative, flexible approach aligned with integrity and inclusion.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is CAD 65,000 to CAD 70,000.
