Role and Responsibilities

The Data Analyst will contribute throughout all stages of the design, development, and implementation of programs serving CMS. This includes participating in design discussions, monitoring project progress, and identifying risks and challenges. The role involves providing technical guidance for data warehouse application processes across multiple stakeholders and enhancing data processing methods for efficiency.

• Support users in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to guide decision-making.
• Assess data anomalies to uphold data integrity.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses incorporating predictive and fraud analytics using machine learning techniques.
• Offer direction to development and operations database engineers.
• Leverage big data platforms and develop data-driven applications using Scala, Python, and Java.
• Assist in collecting, validating, and reporting key program metrics.
• Conduct data collection, verification, and analytical reporting tasks.
• Review and improve processes to optimize support for customer programs.
• Require advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting.
• Understand data ingestion and transformation materials related to data validation and analysis.
• Provide quality assurance support utilizing tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Streamline internal organizational processes with these tools.
• Execute ad hoc data analysis to respond to programmatic inquiries and stakeholder requests.
• Collaborate with project teams to define requirements, goals, implementation plans, and schedules.
• Deliver training sessions for internal personnel and client stakeholders as needed.
• Possess knowledge and experience within healthcare IT domains.

Experience Requirements

• Between 5 and 8 years of experience developing and deploying large-scale, complex data-centric systems.
• At least 3 years using data management and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Qlik, R, Python, SAS Viya, or Power BI.
• Experience in defining and documenting testing criteria and scenarios.
• Strong analytical skills to compare expected and actual test outcomes.
• Effective communication abilities for collaborating with technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Eligibility to acquire and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Residency in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years.

• Capability to deliver timely data analyses and solutions aligned with client requirements.
• Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and responsiveness.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
• Experience working with CMS is an advantage.

Education & Certifications

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
