Cyclic Patrol Person

The Opportunity

Join our Transport and Infrastructure division as a Cyclic Patrolperson in the Mokau/Taumarunui area. This role involves performing scheduled road inspections, routine maintenance tasks, and responding to emergencies to maintain safe and accessible roads for the community.

You will handle a variety of maintenance duties such as pavement repairs, drainage upkeep, vegetation management, and clearing obstructions, ensuring all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.

This hands-on position requires the ability to work independently, make sound decisions on-site, and adapt quickly to operational changes, including participation in an after-hours callout roster.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Hold a current Class 2 Driver Licence
• Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, or similar outdoor operations preferred
• Strong dedication to health, safety, and environmental protocols
• Capable of working autonomously and effectively in the field
• Good verbal and written communication abilities
• Availability to join an after-hours emergency call roster
