Team and Role Overview
The Customer Success Manager role involves ensuring customers are retained and grow by fully utilizing Checkr's solutions. You will join a dedicated team of Customer Success Managers who emphasize collaboration, perseverance, and continuous improvement to deliver maximum value across diverse customers at various stages of their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tactical account duties such as issue tracking, data analysis, meeting coordination, and preparing business reviews.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of client needs to support both strategic and planned initiatives.
- Collaborate with Account Management to facilitate renewals and enhance customer success approaches, ensuring clients derive maximum benefit from Checkr’s products.
- Act as the customer advocate, communicating feedback and issues with internal teams.
- Manage multiple customer projects including expansions, implementations, integrations, and enhancements throughout their lifecycle.
- Proactively identify internal process improvements and utilize AI tools to automate administrative tasks to increase efficiency.
Candidate Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in client-facing customer success, sales, account management, or customer service roles.
- Proven success independently managing account portfolios and driving renewals.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Salesforce and Google Apps.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to client success.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts clearly and warmly.
- Attention to detail in managing numerous tactical program elements across several customers.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick learner excited about tackling challenging projects.
- A passion for planning, executing, improving, and celebrating team and individual successes.
- Experience or willingness to use AI tools to streamline work and improve productivity.
- Experience in Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) or HR Tech sectors is advantageous.
- A proactive, high-performing mindset with decisiveness, resilience, ownership, and urgency.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges vary by location, reflecting geographic labor costs. Examples include:
- San Francisco, CA: $106,000–$125,000 USD base salary
- Denver, CO: $90,000–$106,000 USD base salary
Additional benefits include a collaborative environment, personal development budget, competitive salary plus equity, full medical/dental/vision coverage, up to $25,000 reimbursement for fertility, adoption and parental planning, flexible paid time off, and a monthly wellness stipend.
Work Environment
Checkr encourages a hybrid office culture with hubs in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, and Santiago, Chile, expecting employees to work onsite at least three days weekly.
